Aaron Hartline As a member of Big Idea's top-notch modeling team, Aaron uses the computer to create the characters, props and sets that the animators use to tell the story. But he also gets to use his artistic talents at the conceptual stage, actually hand-drawing the ideas that the modelers use to bring everything you see on the screen from paper to the computer. Aaron has been at Big Idea for over two years now, after studying fine art and animation at Columbia College in Chicago. Then he took a job working with video games before joining the family at Big Idea. Thanks to Aaron's work in both concept art and modeling, Bob the Tomato got a cat in the Silly Song, "The Yodeling Veterinarian of the Alps." Along with Luis Contreras, Aaron did art direction for "Love Songs With Mr. Lunt." Aaron also designed the new Larry-Cave, as well as some of the new characters to appear in Larry-Boy and the Rumor Weed: Barth (Larry the Cucumber's nephew), and Gordy, a plump gourd kid. What does Aaron like most about drawing concept art? "No limitations!" he said. "It's whatever you dream up. And then to see it in the finished form, your little sketch turned into a beautiful set, or a walking and talking character ... once I saw that, I was hooked." But most of all, Aaron enjoys working with Big Idea because his daughter loves VeggieTales® and loves coming to work with dad! "I'm really happy I'm making something my daughter can enjoy," Aaron said. "It's not Big Idea, it's 'Bob and Larry's house.'"
